From Hiring to Firing: Employment Law Basics for Small Business 

Deakin Law Clinic once again participated in Victoria Law Foundation’s, Victorian Law Week to deliver essential community legal education.  In collaboration with Hume City Council, our employment lawyer, Rebecca Tisdale delivered a practical workshop at Broadmeadows Town Hall.  The workshop was designed to help small business owners understand their key legal obligations when managing employees in Victoria. Covering the full employee lifecycle, this session covered recruitment and contracts through to performance management and termination.
